Guidelines for PAN-Aadhaar Sending
PAN-Aadhaar Link Service through Demographic/ Biometric authentication at
UTIITSL PAN Centres
ITD has directed to provide a facility at PAN Centers, for biometric based
authentication, where PAN- Aadhaar linking has failed due to demographic mismatch
and citizen has paid fee of Rs. 1000/- through e-filing portal
Receipt, Verification , Updation at PAN Centre:-
- Applicant in person may visit UTIITSL PAN Centres to avail the service for
PAN- aadhaar Iinking through Demographic/Biometric Authentication - Copy of PAN card , Aadhaar copy and Payment challan will be obtained
from applicant - PAN will be updated in record and it will be checked that payment for
penalty fee of Rs. 1000/- is paid to ITD - Payment challan details will be verified with provided ITD database (PAN,
Challan number, Payment date) - In case the Challan details for the said PAN are not available with UTIITSL
(after the data synced from ITD maintained internally) then, such request will
not be processed and the same will be communicate to the applicant verbally - On successful verification of payment challan, aadhaar number will be
updated in record - Additional details such as mobile number and email id will be obtained from
applicant. Mobile number will be kept mandatory and email id will be
optional - Aadhaar Demographic Authentication to be carried out and in case—
>>> Demographic Authentication matched, processing fee for Rs. 50/- to
be obtained from applicant
>>> Demographic Authentication not matched, Biometric authentication will
be carried out. For Successful biometric authentication processing fee
for Rs. 50/- will be obtained from applicant
>>> The biometric option may be facilitate to the applicant max of three times
considering the factor the data is not captured at single attempt at certain
instances - A printed consent form will be obtained duly filled and signed by applicant.
- An acknowledgement will be issued to applicant with updated details in record
and stating that :- Applicant can verify his/her APL status in T+2 days on
departmental website https://eportal.incometax.gov.in/iec/foservices/#/prelogin/link-adhaar-status. - Copy of PAN card/ Aadhaar card/ Payment Challan/Consent form will be
scanned and uploaded in the system - After scanning and uploading documents in the system, the original signed
consent form, PAN copy, Aadhaar copy and payment challan will be returned
back to the applicant.
Note :– - Authentication to be carried out in the presence of applicant.
- Aadhaar Authentication fee to be accepted Rs. 50/- only
